MAJOR EVENTS |

| |
Slovenia has a variety of major festivals, which can nicely complement your meeting or incentive with an authentic experience of Slovenian cultural, sporting and tourist events. The most prominent traditional event is Pust (Carneval), which is an annual festival supposed to drive away the winter and greet a new spring every February. There are several carnevalesque events throughout the country, including the famous Kurentovanje in Ptuj. As far as sporting events, Planica, the biggest ski jumping facility in the world, holds a special place and attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators to its annual World Cup ski jump festival every February or March. The Ljubljana Summer Festival is the premier cultural event in Slovenia running from July to mid-August. However, there are many other events all-year-round.
